First Press Brief for the International Conference on Taking Actions for the World’s Poor and Hungry People Hosted in Beijing

       In the afternoon of September 28th, the First press brief for the international conference on Taking Actions for the World’s Poor and Hungry People was hosted in Beijing. It was attended by thirteen media agencies, including Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily, China National Radio, Guangming Daily, China Daily, People’s Political Consultation, Farmers’Daily, China Radio International, 21 Century Business Herald, Beijing Youth, China Today, China and Africa and Associated Press of Pakistan.

       Mr. Liu Fuhe, spokesman of China State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development (LGOP) introduced the background, goals, significance, agenda and participants of the conference and answered questions raised by the reporters. Delegates of International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) presented at the event. The Press Brief was hosted by Mr. Wu Zhong, Secretary General of the conference.
